Horsepower Calculation Methods:

• Trap Speed: This method requires the gross weight of the vehicle, inclusive of the driver, alongside the speed at which the vehicle completed a quarter-mile run (1,320 feet or 0.405 kilometers).
• Estimated Time: In this approach, the gross weight is again calculated with the driver included, using the time taken to travel the quarter-mile (1,320 feet or 0.405 kilometers).
• Torque Method: This method calculates horsepower by multiplying the torque in foot-pounds by the engine speed in revolutions per minute (RPM), followed by dividing the result by 5,252.
